My Story 

Hello Student,

My name is Lumpai Kummoo. I am the School Teacher and I am currently studying IQA Internal Quality Assurance.  I felt blessed to have learnt my Thai massage skills from my family and elders, my first teacher was the village expert-my grandfather which in turn helped to soothe and ease their aching muscles as well as many other health benefits. I am bilingual therefore I speak Thai, Lao and English and I am a professionally accredited teacher and practicing therapist.

I joined my parents in the UK in 1998. Where I was a student for which my level of English was poor, at the time I could not understand how to share my Thai massage knowledge and skills. Not until I did my ‘A’ levels, I learnt from my sociology lessons that culture is what brings all of us together, we can gain more by giving and learning from each other and I always wanted to make a difference to people’s lives.

How did I do it? I did not know anyone. Who is going to listen to me? One day I wrote to my ‘A’ level teacher, I said I wanted to share my Thai cultures, food, massage, etc. She could see how much I wanted to do it. She finally agreed to help me to create a Thai party in the UK at the school hall and it turned out to be a huge surprise! I will never forget that day!  There was Thai traditional dancing, food and more people wanted to take part and learn Thai massage. Since that day I have been going back to my Thai massage teacher in Thailand, after I finished my study I have gained various other skills in Thai massage.

Since I have completed my teaching level 3, I have taught thousands of students in groups and 1-2-1 to date.  I am passionate and I have a lot to give but I have not had enough opportunities to share my skills globally until I met Mr Kush Kumar, the CEO of ThinkTree who appointed me the Thai Ambassador for ThinkTree. ThinkTree is an International Professional Association where I represent Thailand’s culture, tradition and much more.  Sharing my Level 3 Diploma in Thai Massage in Thai and English is a dream of mine of which I am very proud of and have never looked back.

Finally, I hope you all enjoy the course as much as I did creating it for you. I want to see you all walk out there in industry with confidence, professionalism and a big smile on your face! You will gain high standards, skills and knowledge on this course. You will also develop your people skills, understand Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology, gain knowledge of Health and Safety and enjoy levels of Business and Management.

You will learn the unique holistic experience, you can share and connect to your community, share joys, and experience with others and continue to build yourself a successful career as a professional massage therapist.
